After being on the receiving end of some unfriendly "sentiments," the end tally was: 3 fractured vertebrae, 4 ribs, skull, maxilla, mandible, clavicle, scapula, bilateral blown eardrums, 17 pieces of Frag (I got to keep a few), an avulsed patella, a pneumothorax and a partridge in a pear tree. Nine surgeries and 22 months of physical therapy later, they told me my career was over with a 34% disability."Congratulations brother, you get to retire from civil service at 41!"
